As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Medicare Risk Adjustment by collaborating with a team of developers and cross-functional stakeholders. You will design and implement sophisticated reporting solutions, enhance data integration processes across various systems, and optimize our reporting databases. Your expertise will drive data-driven decision-making and improve overall operational efficiency within the organization.

We are seeking to add a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to the team! 

This Senior BI Engineer will fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Lead Report Development: Spearhead the design, creation, and maintenance of advanced reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into key metrics related to Medicare Risk Adjustment, collaborating closely with team members and business partners.
  • Data Management and Integration Oversight: Direct the development of data integration processes between vendor systems, ensuring high levels of data accuracy, quality, and seamless flow.
  • Database Architecture and Optimization: Lead the design and implementation of robust reporting databases, working closely with technical teams to enhance performance and develop new analytical features.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Cultivate effective partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to address data and reporting needs, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in data management and reporting, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data management, with a strong preference for experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and significant experience with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable reports.
  • Proven track record in data integration and ETL processes, with a deep understanding of best practices in data management.
  • Ability to work in the Louisville, Kentucky office one (1) day per week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive familiarity with healthcare data systems and a comprehensive understanding of Medicare Risk Adjustment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of database design and management, with hands-on experience in building and optimizing reporting databases.

Additional Information:

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$89,000 - $121,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
