C.H. Robinson is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to help modernize how Global Forwarding turns data into decisions. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable BI solutions—building robust data models, high‑performing queries, and optimized Power BI dashboards that are reliable and easy to maintain. In this role, you will translate complex, sometimes ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical requirements and deliver actionable operational and strategic insights through compelling visual storytelling. In this role, you will lead reusable datasets and a semantic layer that align KPIs and enable domain-driven reporting, while partnering cross‑functionally to co-create advanced analytics solutions. In this role, you will mentor teammates, raise BI standards, and drive innovation through automation, best practices, and data products that improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities:The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable BI solutions—including data models, queries, and optimized Power BI reporting—while ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into analytical requirements, performing deep analysis to deliver actionable operational and strategic insights.
- Enhance, support, and modernize existing analytics solutions through continuous improvement, best‑practice implementation, and strong data quality validation.
- Lead datasets and reusable semantic layer development to support domain-driven reporting, KPI alignment, and exploratory analysis.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (operations, reporting, engineering, product, analytics) to understand business drivers, align on definitions, and co-develop predictive or advanced analytics solutions.
- Create clear, compelling data visualizations and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, translating complex concepts into understandable insights.
- Provide technical Expertise and mentorship—reviewing work, coaching on BI best practices, improving team standards, and raising overall technical maturity.
- Own project execution for BI initiatives, including documentation, timelines, stakeholder communication, and risk escalation to ensure smooth delivery.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders (including customer-facing teams) to identify opportunity areas, prioritize analytical needs, and support data-informed decision making.
- Drive innovation in BI capabilities, advocating for new tools, methods, automation, and data‑fueled products that improve Global Forwarding performance and customer outcomes.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of analytics experience developing business solutions using comprehensive, robust data assets
- Familiarity with Agile
- Experience with data visualization tools, including, Power B and SQL querying
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Logistics and supply chain experience
- Expert proficiency with MS Excel, and strong working proficiency with the broader MS Office Suite of programs
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of a programming language – python
- Expert understanding of data fundamentals and passion for data integrity, testing, and validation
- Experience working with product teams in an iterative environment
- Positive, collaborative working style
- Effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums

Compensation Range
$77,000.00 - $173,600.00The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
