We are looking for a talented Senior Business Development Specialist (m/w/d) to join our team specializing in Sales for our CDD Gensets Department in Gross-Gerau, Hessen, Germany.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within a specific market, product segment, or region.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to define and prioritize attractive market segments.
- Analyze market data and trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Research potential customers and understand their business needs, challenges, and terminology.
- Build and maintain relationships with target accounts to uncover new opportunities.
- Support the development of account plans, proposals, and business cases.
- Contribute to closing new sales opportunities and ensure smooth handover to Account Managers.
- Share market insights and customer feedback while supporting overall sales strategy and business growth.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required.
- High level of customer orientation with a focus on understanding and addressing client needs.
- Solid knowledge of power generation to effectively support technical discussions and solutions.
- Strong sales capabilities, including communication, relationship-building, and opportunity development.
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or a comparable role is beneficial.
- Knowledge of decentralized power generation is considered a strong advantage.
- Fluency in both English and German is mandatory.
