More about our mission and what we offer.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager to join our Wise Platform team. In this role, you will take full commercial ownership of driving our growth with financial institutions and banks across the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway).
Wise Platform has already launched a transformational flagship partnership with Lunar Bank, which has piqued the interest of major regional institutions. You will help deliver world-class payment solutions to some of the largest banks, traditional financial institutions, and fast-growing fintechs—powered by Wise’s cutting-edge infrastructure.
A Bit About the Role
Ideally based in our London office, you will sit at the heart of our commercial engine while maintaining the flexibility for a remote structure depending on setup and experience. In this role, you will:
Shape the Market Strategy: Act as the strategic bridge between Nordic bank and enterprise clients and our product teams. Your insights into the needs of the local market will directly steer our product roadmap and regional expansion strategy.
Unlock Nordic Scale: Take end-to-end responsibility for mapping, pitching, negotiating, and closing partnerships across Tier 1 retail and corporate banks, as well as challenger banks in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.
A Bit About You
Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of deep experience within payments and/or a specific track record of selling technology products or API infrastructure.
Deal Execution: Proven history of managing long, complex enterprise sales cycles from initial top-of-funnel generation down to final legal and economic contract execution.
Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the Nordic banking landscape, including its highly sophisticated digital-first ecosystem and the specific cross-border needs of regional retail and corporate institutions
Commercial Acumen: Strongly analytical and data-driven; you have a sharp head for economics and are comfortable owning high-value financial negotiations with institutional procurement and C-suite teams.
Mindset: An entrepreneurial, hands-on builder who is as excited about mapping out deep technical product integrations with a client as you are closing commercial structures.
