Job Overview: Convera is expanding its footprint in the UK and seeking a high impact Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across Channel & Integrated Partnerships, Enterprise Sales, and masspayment solution adoption.
This role focuses on selling Convera’s integrated payment solutions, including APIdriven capabilities, embedded FX, and crossborder payment technology to platforms, payroll providers, workforce management systems, and large enterprises with complex payment needs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in B2B enterprise sales, experience selling technical or APIenabled solutions, and the ability to build strategic partnerships that scale.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Drive new business acquisition across enterprise clients, platforms, and channel partners.
- Build and execute a UK go-to-market strategy focused on integrated payments, API adoption, and masspayment use cases.
- Develop a continuously growing pipeline using data driven targeting, outbound prospecting, and strategic networking.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to position Convera’s integrated solutions effectively.
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and engage prospects across payroll platforms, HRIS providers, workforce management systems, marketplaces, and enterprise clients with crossborder payment needs.
- Build referral networks and partnerships with ecosystem players, advisors, and technology partners.
- Deliver compelling demos and solution walkthroughs, articulating the value of Convera’s API and platform capabilities.
Relationship Building & Management
- Build long term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, including CSuite, product, and technology leaders.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client roadmaps and aligning Convera’s solutions to their integration and payment needs.
- Ensure a smooth transition to onboarding and account management teams.
Negotiation & Contract Management
- Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial and scalable agreements.
- Work with legal, finance, and product teams to structure compliant, commercially sound contracts.
- Monitor performance and ensure clients meet contractual and operational commitments.
Collaboration & Cross Functional Alignment
- Partner with presales, product, bid, customer assurance, and customer care teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Provide market insights to influence product development, pricing, and competitive positioning.
- Represent Convera at industry events, conferences, and partner forums.
Reporting & Analysis
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using Salesforce.
- Analyse performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic planning and broader business development initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience
- 7+ years in B2B sales, ideally within payments, fintech, SaaS, or financial services.
- Experience selling API led, platform, or technical solutions into enterprise or channel environments.
- Strong network across payroll, HR tech, workforce management, marketplaces, or enterprise payment buyers (preferred but not essential).
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex buying cycles.
- Background in financial institutions or consulting is advantageous.
