Job Description

We are re-imagining correspondent banking for low value transactions.

We’re looking for a commercially minded self-starter to scale our correspondent banking sales in APAC, who are excited by the challenge of improving the crossborder remittance experience in APAC.  You’ll be a part of the Wise Platform team, helping deliver world class payment service solutions to our partners and their customers, powered by the Wise infrastructure.

Banks, Fintechs and large enterprises use Wise Platform to build crossborder money movement solutions including Mandiri, Shinhan Bank, Morgan Stanley and others. Today we have 80+ global banks and platforms connected and powered by Wise Platform. Wise Platform enables financial institutions to leverage Wise’s direct connections to instant clearing schemes to significantly improve their correspondent banking infrastructure, resulting in significant operational cost savings while providing unparalleled speed and efficiency.

A bit about the role:

The role is based in our Singapore office, but you will also work closely with the Regional APAC and Global Wise Platform teams based in our offices around the world. You will work closely with other functions, including product management, compliance & legal, implementation and engineering. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for creating and progressing a pipeline of target financial institutions and signing impactful deals. You will be responsible for a key growth vertical in Wise Platform.

Your mission:

  • Grow Wise Platform’s correspondent banking volume share with regional banks in APAC.

  • Work with the Wise Platform team to build a strong pipeline of financial institutions, and effectively manage the end-to-end sales process.

  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to define the proposition and commercial model for Wise Platform’s correspondent banking solution in APAC.

Qualifications

  • Extensive industry experience: You bring a proven track record in the industry, with the deep network and professional credibility required to engage with C-suite stakeholders at regional banks.

  • Correspondent Banking Expertise: You have worked in Network Management or as a Relationship Manager within a correspondent banking division.

  • Deep Flow Knowledge: You understand exactly how correspondent banking flows work, who the current dominant players are, and where the friction points lie.

  • Sales Instinct: You have a track record of selling correspondent services

  • Proven Track Record in Tier-1 or Regional Banking: You bring experience from large global correspondent banks or major regional players with extensive APAC networks where you have successfully managed or sold correspondent services.

A bit about you

  • You’ve held commercial targets in past sales roles and have demonstrated a strong track record of outperforming these.

  • You can independently source deals in APAC regional banks to create a healthy sales pipeline.

  • You’re hands on and happy to lead your own discussions as well as supporting our business development team with their pipelines.

  • You’re collaborative - and have worked across functional teams to define and effectively execute on vertical sales strategies.

  • You’re analytical - data driven on where the team should be spending time and on scoping, sizing, prioritising and driving opportunities.

  • You are mission-driven and customer-focused - seeking out synergistic partnerships that will benefit the customer and contribute to the Wise Mission.
