Job Purpose
DP World is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Logistics team based at Fisherman Island, Brisbane, on a permanent full-time basis, with a dedicated focus on growing our Contract Logistics business.
In this strategic role, you will identify and secure new business opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and drive increased share of wallet through tailored supply chain solutions. Leveraging your industry network and commercial expertise, you will play a key role in expanding DP World’s Contract Logistics footprint and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to secure new Contract Logistics opportunities across targeted markets and industry sectors
Build and maintain strong customer relationships increasing share of wallet, retention and sustainable revenue growth
Lead the end-to-end sales process including solution development, commercial negotiations, proposals and contract closure
Partner with internal teams to deliver tailored customer solutions and support successful implementation
Manage a strong sales pipeline including lead generation, CRM updates, forecasting and performance reporting
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and deliver against commercial objectives and KPIs
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
8+ year’s experience in business development or commercial sales within Contract Logistics, 3PL, freight forwarding or supply chain solutions
Proven success in securing new business, managing complex sales cycles and driving revenue growth
Strong ability to build senior customer relationships, increase share of wallet and identify new opportunities
Commercially astute with strong knowledge of warehousing, distribution, transport and logistics solutions
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Highly organised and self-driven, with CRM experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities
