About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and ambitious sales leader to take ownership of Germany and the broader DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as our Head of Sales / Territory Manager. This is a senior, high-autonomy position for someone who combines a proven track record of closing elite-level commercial deals with the credibility and vision to build and lead a regional sales function.
You'll be the senior commercial presence across the DACH region, personally managing a portfolio of strategic accounts and driving new business at the highest levels of sport, while laying the foundations for long-term growth. This role is as much about building as it is about selling.
Candidates must be based in Germany to be considered.
What You'll Do
Commercial Leadership
Own the P&L for the DACH region, taking full accountability for revenue targets and forecasting
Lead complex negotiations with C-suite, Sporting Directors, Heads of Performance, and Technical Directors across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
Build and execute a territory growth strategy that delivers consistent results across the short, medium, and long term
Leverage and extend your existing network of elite sports contacts to generate immediate pipeline and sustained deal flow
Identify and develop strategic partnerships with federations, leagues, and distributors where relevant
Maximise commercial return through creative deal structuring, pricing matrix management, and disciplined pipeline management
Market & Business Development
Drive new market entry within the DACH region, identifying and converting Tier 1 clubs, national associations, and performance organisations
Position STATSports as the partner of choice across professional football, rugby, athletics, and adjacent elite sports markets in the region
Maintain deep market intelligence on competitors, trends, and emerging opportunities within DACH
Represent STATSports at key industry events, conferences, and client sites across the region and internationally
Operational Excellence
Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene — all leads, activities, and pipeline stages updated daily with accuracy
Prepare well-structured, sport-specific sales proposals and commercial agreements in a timely and professional manner
Report on regional performance, forecasts, and strategic progress to senior leadership on a regular cadence
Drive continuous improvement across sales processes, commercial frameworks, and personal performance
What You'll Need
8+ years of experience in a sports technology or sports data commercial environment
Proven track record leading and closing six- and seven-figure commercial deals with elite sports organisations
Significant experience selling GPS performance tracking or comparable sports technology solutions
An established, active network within professional sport in Germany and/or the wider DACH region
Demonstrated ability to enter new markets and win Tier 1 logos independently
Experience operating at a senior level, able to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying environments with confidence
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insight into action
Native or near-native German language proficiency; strong working English
Willingness to travel extensively within the region and internationally as required
It Would Be Great If You Had
Experience managing or mentoring a regional sales team or junior BDEs
Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
Additional language skills across the DACH region (e.g. Austrian German dialects, French for Swiss market)
An existing network that spans beyond Germany into Austria and Switzerland
