Senior Business Development Associate

We are looking for a driven Senior Business Development Associate to support business growth initiatives for one of the fastest-growing Edtech companies. In this role, you will engage prospective learners, understand their goals, and guide them through the decision-making process. You will own conversations end-to-end—from first outreach to closing—while maintaining accurate activity tracking in the CRM and collaborating with internal teams to improve conversion and customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and engage prospective customers through cold calling, follow-ups, and other outreach channels.
Understand customer needs, communicate program value clearly, and recommend the right learning path.
Own the sales cycle: qualify leads, handle objections, negotiate where required, and close opportunities.
Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM (lead status, notes, next steps, and outcomes).
Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly outreach and conversion targets.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to share feedback on lead quality, messaging, and customer pain points.
Build a strong pipeline and ensure disciplined follow-through to improve overall conversion rates.
1–5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
Strong cold calling and follow-up skills with a comfort for high-volume outreach.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain value simply and confidently.
Negotiation and objection-handling skills with a customer-first approach.
Hands-on experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and track activities.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You build and maintain a healthy pipeline with consistent activity and strong follow-through.
You convert qualified leads into enrollments through consultative conversations and effective negotiation.
Your CRM hygiene is excellent—data is accurate, updated, and actionable.
You proactively share insights that improve messaging, lead quality, and the overall sales process.
Skills Required
- 1-5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or similar customer-facing role
