About the Role

We are looking for a driven Senior Business Development Associate to support business growth initiatives for one of the fastest-growing Edtech companies. In this role, you will engage prospective learners, understand their goals, and guide them through the decision-making process. You will own conversations end-to-end—from first outreach to closing—while maintaining accurate activity tracking in the CRM and collaborating with internal teams to improve conversion and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage prospective customers through cold calling, follow-ups, and other outreach channels.

  • Understand customer needs, communicate program value clearly, and recommend the right learning path.

  • Own the sales cycle: qualify leads, handle objections, negotiate where required, and close opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in the CRM (lead status, notes, next steps, and outcomes).

  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly outreach and conversion targets.

  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to share feedback on lead quality, messaging, and customer pain points.

  • Build a strong pipeline and ensure disciplined follow-through to improve overall conversion rates.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 1–5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar customer-facing role.

  • Strong cold calling and follow-up skills with a comfort for high-volume outreach.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain value simply and confidently.

  • Negotiation and objection-handling skills with a customer-first approach.

  • Hands-on experience using CRM tools to manage pipeline and track activities.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You build and maintain a healthy pipeline with consistent activity and strong follow-through.

  • You convert qualified leads into enrollments through consultative conversations and effective negotiation.

  • Your CRM hygiene is excellent—data is accurate, updated, and actionable.
