We are looking for a Senior Business Controller with sharp analytical skills who can clearly present financial insights to various internal stakeholders across the organization.

Due to the visibility of this role towards senior management and the ongoing transformation of the company, we are seeking an experienced finance professional with a solid background in controlling, who will report directly to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of the respective department by acting as a strong, value-adding business partner, with a primary focus on supply chain and sales.

  • Monitor and validate periodic sales and margin reports to ensure accurate invoicing and variance analysis.
  • Accurately calculate and manage variable compensation packages for a sales team of 300 representatives, ensuring transparency and timely communication.
  • Co-lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reports including headcount reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth P&L and risk management analyses, taking into account trends and growth potential. Create clear reports and presentations with actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee, develop, and validate the planning process, including periodic forecasting, annual budgeting, and the strategic plan within the controlling department.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, sales directors, and logistic managers to improve reporting and analytical tools, ensuring harmonization and further standardization.
  • Identify opportunities to further improve financial reporting processes and data usage in collaboration with data analysts and business units.
Profile:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably as a controller or finance business partner.

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Business/Commercial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English; French is a plus.
  • Able to work efficiently, autonomously, and results-oriented.
  • Assertive and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerBI is required.
  • Stress-resistant, hands-on, and driven to meet deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP or S4Hana is a strong asset.
  • Able to extract actionable insights from financial data to influence business strategy.
  • Strong communicator, able to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in fostering collaboration between functional teams and senior management.
  • Solution-oriented, hands-on mindset with a clear focus on achieving objectives.
