Centric Software is looking for an experienced Senior Business Consultant to join our growing Planning team in Germany. This is a remote role, based within Germany. The successful candidate will provide retail planning expertise and business knowledge in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. You will be an inspirational leader, dedicated to delivering retail planning best practices and designing optimized planning solutions for our clients. Responsibilities include working directly with clients, internal teams, and external partners, leading the build and delivery of solution design and configuration requirements, and ensuring best practice planning solutions are provided.
About the Team
The Centric planning team is leading the market in the delivery of first-class planning solutions. We are a dynamic and driven team of technical and business experts building end-to-end planning systems and driving project delivery excellence. The team members are home-based in different countries across Europe and report to the Client Services Director.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a successful business delivery team in planning across the DACH-region.
  • Work closely with the delivery team to support all project-related activities.
  • Be a key senior point of contact for the Centric global teams, liaising on all project and delivery aspects, working closely with Technical and Application consultants to ensure on-time and on-budget project deliveries.
  • Advise clients on best business practices across the end-to-end planning product suite (focusing on modules such as merchandise financial planning, range and assortment planning, forecasting, allocation, and replenishment).
  • Become the UK, Nordics, and South Africa process expert, offering clients business process knowledge and support during key project phases.
  • Collaborate with the Centric global development teams to establish solution optimization.
  • Drive solution design workshops with clients across the region, supported by the Centric delivery teams.
  • Establish a center of excellence for writing up and controlling all solution design documentation.
  • Lead the transition of solution design into the product build team, ensuring solutions meet client requirements.
  • Lead and support key phases of user acceptance testing and key user training with the support of the Centric delivery teams.
  • Play a role in new client pre-sales engagements, helping clients and sales teams understand business requirements and best practices to offer the strongest solution proposals.
  • Support the recruitment, building, and development of project delivery teams.
  • Attend key development workshops for product and delivery training.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail planning, ideally in a consultancy role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of retail business processes and planning tools.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet client and project needs.
