POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Business Applications Analyst serves as a liaison between Information Services and hospital departments to improve operational efficiency through effective use of technology. This position analyzes business processes, identifies opportunities for automation and optimization, and implements solutions utilizing Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and other enterprise applications.

Working closely with clinical, administrative, and operational stakeholders, the Business Applications Analyst helps departments maximize existing technology investments, reduce manual processes, improve data quality, and increase staff productivity. The role combines business analysis, application support, workflow design, training, and solution development to support Brattleboro Memorial Hospital's operational and strategic objectives.

DEPARTMENT SCOPE OF SERVICE

The Information Services (IS) department provides support to clinical, administrative, physician office and community interests through the design, implementation, maintenance and management of an array of software, hardware, and infrastructure systems.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise business applications, workflow automation, process improvement initiatives, or business systems analysis.

Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, and translating operational needs into technology solutions.

Experience analyzing and improving business processes to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce manual effort, and improve operational outcomes.

Experience implementing, configuring, or optimizing enterprise software applications in a complex organizational environment.

Experience leading or participating in cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Experience developing and delivering end-user training and technology adoption programs.

Healthcare experience preferred.

Develops and maintains automated workflows, electronic forms, and process improvement solutions that improve productivity and user experience.

Ensures automation solutions are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with organizational governance standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

Establishes effective partnerships with department leaders and staff to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.

Acts as a liaison between operational stakeholders and Information Services to ensure business needs are properly understood and addressed.

Project Participation & Leadership

Successfully manages assigned projects and work initiatives, meeting established scope, timelines, and objectives.

Provides leadership and guidance on process improvement and technology optimization initiatives.

Effectively manages competing priorities while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
