The Senior, Business Analyst – Vitality plays a critical role in translating business strategy and product vision into detailed functional and technical requirements to support the delivery of Vitality platform solutions. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to design scalable, integrated solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives and transformation initiatives.
This position contributes to both product development and strategic initiatives by driving requirement definition, solution design, and delivery oversight in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Responsibilities

1) Vitality Subject Matter Expertise & Operational Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Vitality and wellness solutions, ensuring all initiatives align with broader business strategies and objectives.
  • Partner with business unit sponsors to elicit, refine, and maintain high-quality business requirements, including guiding updates for platform changes.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive functional and technical documentation to support enhancements and changes to the Vitality platform.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of the Vitality platform to enable efficient execution of enhancements and transformation initiatives.
  • Support operational rollout activities and provide ongoing assistance, including triaging and resolving incidents related to product or technical inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate closely with both onshore and offshore development teams to ensure delivery outcomes align with defined requirements and solution design.
  • Act as a quality gatekeeper, ensuring all deliverables meet defined requirements and support the objectives of the Vitality strategy.

2) Decision and Solution Design Artefacts

  • Develop high-level and logical solution designs, including end-to-end process flows, data mappings, and information flows to support business and system requirements.
  • Ensure proposed solutions integrate effectively with existing systems, are technically feasible, and align with both business objectives and enterprise technology strategy.
  • Support the development of alternative solution options, contributing to structured evaluation, trade-off analysis, and recommendation of optimal approaches.
  • Establish and maintain strategic business views of the enterprise, leveraging consistent frameworks, repeatable methodologies, and industry-standard practices to guide solution design and decision-making.

 

3) Business Product Definition

  • Drive alignment and consistency in product experience across the portfolio by integrating multiple architectural perspectives to support stakeholders and delivery teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of new and existing products by assessing feasibility of current capabilities and leveraging existing people, processes, and technology to maximise value realisation and adoption.
  • Ensure solution designs effectively enable business unit capabilities, collaborating closely with Solution and Enterprise Architects to align with strategic and technology objectives.
  • Influence decision-making by evaluating and negotiating product and solution alternatives to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, applying structured problem-solving to ensure stability and continuous improvement of the platform.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business / Systems / Technical Analyst in software development environments.
  • Strong experience in business requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Exposure to digital platforms, APIs (e.g., Postman, JSON), and SQL.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (user stories, sprint delivery).
  • Familiarity with data modelling, UML, and system design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of wellness or health-related products is advantageous.

Skills Required
