We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Trade Systems) to support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital trade and customs solutions. This role acts as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and technical delivery teams, ensuring complex trade and customs requirements are translated into high-impact, scalable systems.
- Lead business and functional requirements gathering for Trade Single Window and Customs Risk Management solutions
- Translate complex regulatory and operational needs into clear BRDs, BRS, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Model AS-IS and TO-BE business processes using BPMN/UML to support process optimization and system design
- Act as Product Owner or proxy, managing backlogs, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment in agile environments
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, UAT, and solution validation with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements across design, testing, and deployment phases
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying automation and optimization opportunities
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in business analysis and documentation
RequirementsRequirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, preferably within customs, trade facilitation, or government digital systems
- Strong understanding of global trade and customs processes (import/export, risk management, valuation, classification, post-clearance audit)
- Familiarity with international standards such as WCO Data Model, UN/CEFACT, WTO TFA, UNESCAP frameworks
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments, including Product Owner responsibilities
- Proficiency with business process modeling and requirements tools (e.g., Visio, Miro, Draw.io)
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field
- English proficiency required; Arabic is a strong advantage
