About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Group Digital. In this role, you will play a critical part in conceptualising, designing, and delivering innovative business solutions that create meaningful value for both internal and external stakeholders. You will combine strong business knowledge with a value-creation mindset to identify opportunities, improve processes, and support the development of best-in-market outcomes for the Bank. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management to drive transformation initiatives and enhance customer experience across the organisation.
What you will be doing
Gather and analyse business requirements through workshops, surveys, questionnaires, role shadowing, and stakeholder discussions
Identify operational pain points, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement, with the aim of reengineering processes for greater efficiency and value creation
Conduct value chain analysis and assess operational workflows to optimise performance and improve cost benefits
Perform critical analysis and research to identify and prioritise business requirements, while monitoring Malaysia and global market drivers and trends
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals based on best practices, design thinking, and competitor analysis
Engage closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management to ensure alignment with strategic business goals
Support the Business squad in proposing “To-Be” processes and collaborate with Compliance, Audit, Risk, and Legal Governance teams to obtain approvals for new solutions
Champion end-to-end customer journeys with a strong focus on customer centricity and delivering excellent customer experience
Work within Agile frameworks, including Scrum, and utilise tools such as Jira, Figma, and Confluence to document requirements, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria
Conduct usability testing and support agile delivery cycles with flexibility and adaptability
Lead change management initiatives including training, knowledge transfer, and the development of FAQs and how-to manuals in collaboration with Change and Communication teams
Communicate complex ideas clearly through strong storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills across different audiences
Act as an early digital adopter, identifying new digital opportunities and innovative approaches within the banking industry
Collaborate within Agile squads as a self-organising and empowered team, guided by the Product Owner or Section Head
Challenge outdated practices and contribute ideas that drive high-performance outcomes for the organisation
What we're looking for
Strong experience in business analysis, process improvement, or digital transformation within the banking or financial services industry
Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into actionable solutions
Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Figma
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge traditional practices and drive innovation
Strong interest in digital transformation and emerging opportunities within the banking industry
