About the Role
Rabobank’s COO Domain’s Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality Team is responsible for managing & ensuring the accuracy of regulatory reporting (FATCA/CRS/AIIR/annual statements etc). The team has an opening in Sydney for a 12-month fixed term contract for a Senior Business Analyst to Design & Implement Target Operating Model (TOM) for Client Regulatory reporting.
Reporting to Senior Manager Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality, this role will shape the future of our reporting operating model. Leading the TOM initiative with a focus on Client Tax Regulatory reporting, this role will cover the assessment of current-state operating models, define future-state designs, & support the transition required to realise meaningful, long-term change. You will collaborate with business, technology, risk & tax stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, outcome-focused transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Target Operating Model initiatives/projects, covering current-state assessment, future-state design, & transition planning
- Analyse & design operating model components including processes, governance, data, technology, roles, & controls
- Facilitate workshops & stakeholder discussions to gather insights & drive consensus on the desired target operating model
- Defining Reporting Ownership (including RACI) ensuring accountability across relevant functions (e.g., Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Compliance).
- Establishing Governance, Operating Rhythm, Escalation Paths & Timelines for all in scope regulatory reports
- Establishing a Client Related Tax Reporting Standard
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong business analysis experience with demonstrable Target Operating Model delivery
- Experience designing or supporting changes to processes, operating structures, & ways of working
- An ability to work with business, technology, risk & Finance teams to align operating models with delivery realities
- Confidence supporting senior stakeholders through complex design decisions
- Excellent facilitation, communication, & stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
- Excellent coordination skills to bring people &/or tasks together to achieve outcomes
- Experience dealing with ambiguity; flexible & adaptable in response to changing requirements & scope, yet still delivering quality outcomes
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity with flexibility & adaptability, consistently delivering high‑quality outcomes amid changing requirements & scope
