Job Description
What You'll Do:
Compliance & Policy Development: Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance readiness and preparation. You will be responsible for creating, updating, and socializing IT policies, standards, and guidelines that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
FinOps & Cost Management: Own and drive FinOps initiatives to manage and optimize our cloud spending. You will analyze cloud usage data, identify areas of waste, and work with engineering teams to implement cost-saving measures without compromising performance or reliability.
IT Portfolio Management: Manage and maintain our IT portfolio, ensuring it is accurately documented and aligned with our strategic goals. You will track the health of key technology assets, support the governance process for new technology adoptions, and report on the overall portfolio to leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including engineering teams, finance, security, and legal, to gather requirements, build consensus, and drive the adoption of our standards and programs.
Program Support: Provide business analysis support for a variety of technology programs, including documenting requirements, defining success metrics, and monitoring program progress.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in a technology-focused environment.
Policy & Governance: Proven experience in crafting, implementing, and managing IT policies, standards, or guidelines.
Compliance Knowledge: A solid understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS) and the ability to translate their requirements into practical business processes.
Financial Acumen: Experience with FinOps or cloud cost management principles. You should be comfortable working with financial data to drive business decisions.
IT Portfolio Management: Familiarity with IT portfolio management concepts and a proven ability to manage and report on technology assets.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information from multiple sources.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who can take initiative, operate with minimal supervision, and drive projects from conception to completion.
Nice to Haves (Not Required, but a Plus):
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
Experience with a specific cloud provider's FinOps tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Cost Management).
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
