Job Description
- Ensure accounting and finance business functions and systems support users and shareholders by creating efficient accounting transactions.
- Responsible for driving a shared understanding of business goals, objectives between Business and IT, delivering quality systems that meet business needs, with a reputation of on-time delivery, and commitment to complete and accurate financial data.
- Employ a variety of business, process, data, and system analysis techniques, to align stakeholders, reduce ambiguity and risk, and define solutions that meet goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with product managers in building and prioritizing team backlog.
- Elicit and analyze functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Craft meaningful requirements and specifications that align stakeholder needs to system capabilities.
- Collaborate to design high-value and sensible IS solutions, making sure both functional and nonfunctional requirements are addressed in the design and the testing early on.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in software business analysis, system analysis, process analysis, data analysis or any combination thereof. Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field of study and 4 years of experience in software business analysis, system analysis, process analysis, data analysis or any combination thereof is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience. Pre- or post-Master's degree experience is acceptable. All experience must be post-Bachelor's.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:
- Drafting stakeholder requirements and specifications;
- Database structures, data relationships and data modeling;
- Working with Reference Data and Data Governance products;
- System development lifecycle, including agile techniques;
- Guiding teams towards unified goals to achieve project objectives;
- Turning concepts and designs into deliverables;
- Presenting plan concepts, ideas and plans to stakeholders with varying technical and business backgrounds; and
- Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Additional Information
Salary range for position: $162,531 - $175,000 per year.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
