We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Business Analyst to support Product Owners and delivery teams in defining, refining, and managing Salesforce requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. This individual will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring Salesforce solutions are aligned with business objectives and delivered with clearly defined requirements and acceptance criteria.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting Salesforce implementations, managing Agile delivery processes, and owning user stories from initial requirements gathering through development, testing, UAT, and production deployment.

You will be working on a mission-critical software program whose goal is to consolidate, modernize, and enhance a suite of applications supporting Medicaid operations.


Our core work hours are 10am to 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.


Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, architects, and Salesforce delivery teams to gather, analyze, document, and refine business requirements.
  • Lead requirements elicitation sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery activities to identify business needs and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own user stories throughout the entire Agile lifecycle, ensuring requirements remain clear, prioritized, and development-ready.
  • Manage story refinement activities, ensuring development teams have sufficient detail to estimate and implement solutions.
  • Support Product Owners with backlog management, prioritization, release planning, and roadmap execution.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce developers, administrators, architects, and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Validate requirements through system demonstrations, testing activities, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demonstrations.
  • Track requirements, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation, user guides, workflow diagrams, and requirements artifacts.
  • Support release management activities and ensure successful deployment of Salesforce enhancements and new functionality.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend Salesforce best practice solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Assist with change management, stakeholder communications, and user adoption activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise software development projects.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting Salesforce implementations or Salesforce-based business solutions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidate must reside in the United States, be authorized to work in the United States, and work must be performed in the United States.
  • Must have lived in the United States three full years out of the last five years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.
  • Experience gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Experience supporting Agile and SAFe delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working directly with Product Owners and managing product backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or custom Salesforce applications.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management processes.
  • Experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare, or government modernization programs.
  • Experience working within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform configuration, security model, workflows, reporting, dashboards, flows, and case management.
  • Experience partnering with Salesforce developers and solution architects on large-scale implementations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps and release management processes.
  • Experience supporting Human-Centered Design (HCD) initiatives.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$81,499.00 - $138,549.00
