Our Change team connects business needs with the people and teams who deliver solutions. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll work across the Society to understand change, assess its impact and help ensure requirements are clearly defined, communicated and delivered. 

 

 

  • Understand business priorities and translate complex change needs into clear, validated requirements aligned to our objectives and strategic priorities. 

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation across projects, business-as-usual improvements and new initiatives. 

  • Support teams to write effective user stories, facilitate agile events and lead backlog refinement using business analysis best practice. 

  • Work closely with Product Owners, project managers, business owners, development and testing teams to coordinate activity and support successful delivery. 

  • Act as a trusted change adviser, applying process improvement, stakeholder engagement, business change and continuous improvement techniques. 

  • Build collaborative relationships at all levels, communicating blockers, influencing decisions and helping stakeholders navigate complex or sensitive change. 

  • Promote consistent standards, tools and techniques across the Business Analysis community, coaching others and contributing to a high-performance culture. 

 

We work in a hybrid way, balancing flexibility with collaboration. For this role, you'll typically spend three days a week in our Skipton office, with the remaining two days working from home. 

 

What You’ll Need 

 

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to explore different perspectives, solve problems and make confident decisions. 

  • Proven experience of eliciting, analysing, validating and documenting complex business requirements across a range of business functions. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence, engage and build trust with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • A sound knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and professional best practice, including user stories and agile ways of working. 

  • Experience of independently interpreting and communicating complex or sensitive information with accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and balance project and business-as-usual activity. 

  • Around four to six years’ relevant experience delivering change, with knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation and change-related governance.
