We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Financial Services / Fintech / Banking to join a high-performing technology environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business requirements into effective, scalable and cost-efficient technology solutions.
This is a senior-level role requiring strong business analysis, process, stakeholder and technology capabilities. The successful candidate will work across complex initiatives, multiple business areas and delivery teams, providing insight and recommendations that support both immediate requirements and longer-term business objectives.
The role will involve working closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions are clearly defined, commercially viable and aligned with organisational objectives.
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
- Understand business objectives, industry trends and their potential impact on the organisation.
- Work across multiple business areas, systems and end-to-end processes.
- Elicit, analyse, validate and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and solution specifications.
- Define business rules and support their implementation.
- Evaluate potential solutions based on business value, cost, risk and feasibility.
- Identify dependencies, risks and potential impacts across processes and systems.
- Support the delivery of effective and sustainable business solutions.
Stakeholder Management & Facilitation
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, presentations and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and evaluate solutions.
- Provide clear, business-focused recommendations to support decision-making.
- Build strong relationships across business, technology and delivery teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on business processes, requirements and potential improvements.
- Influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment across different business areas.
- Work effectively with external service providers and technology partners where required.
Solution & Process Improvement
- Assess current processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the design of practical, scalable and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions address business requirements and deliver measurable value.
- Support continuous improvement across business processes, systems and ways of working.
- Consider the wider business and technology impact of proposed changes.
- Assist with identifying and resolving project and delivery dependencies.
Delivery & SDLC
- Work throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements through to implementation.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, testing, data and project teams.
- Support solution validation, testing and implementation activities.
- Ensure requirements remain aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to data, reporting and change-related initiatives where required.
- Provide guidance and support to more junior Business Analysts.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis or a related field (essential).
- Advanced Business Analysis certification such as ECBA, CCBA, FTI or similar (advantageous).
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a technically complex environment (essential).
- Strong experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience within Financial Services, Banking or Fintech (essential).
- Strong business and process modelling capabilities.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills.
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Good understanding of technology environments, including databases, servers and networking.
- Experience working with multiple systems and complex end-to-end business processes.
- Exposure to SAP and relevant modules will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior Business Analysts is advantageous.

Advantageous Experience
