Role: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite – 5 days a week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis and product delivery activities across shipment, waybill, unit train, and related transportation applications. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to define requirements, improve operational processes, support product roadmap development, and help deliver strategic initiatives that create measurable business value. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned analyst who brings transportation or logistics domain expertise and can translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across transportation applications, including shipment, waybill, unit train, and related platforms
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements
Translate complex operational needs into clear user stories, process flows, business rules, and solution requirements
Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to align priorities, clarify scope, and drive decision-making
Develop and maintain Level-0 and Level-1 process and system diagrams using tools such as Draw.io
Support development and refinement of product roadmaps in partnership with business and product leadership
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance user experience across transportation processes
Drive prioritization of initiatives, features, and enhancements based on business value, operational impact, and delivery feasibility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements through implementation and post-production support
Support test strategy, test case review, user acceptance testing, and validation of delivered solutions against business needs
Assist with incident analysis, issue resolution, and production support activities to ensure stability and continuous improvement
Create clear documentation, status updates, and executive-ready communication materials for key stakeholders
Qualifications
Proven 7- 15 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting complex business and technology initiatives
Strong domain knowledge in transportation, logistics, supply chain, rail, shipment, or related operational environments
Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end requirements management, from discovery and analysis through testing and production support
Experience developing product roadmaps and supporting product delivery in partnership with product owners and business stakeholders
Hands-on experience using diagramming tools such as Draw.io to create Level-0 and Level-1 diagrams, process maps, and workflow documentation
Strong ability to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement
Experience writing business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to work across business and technical teams to drive alignment and successful delivery
Experience supporting testing activities, including test planning, defect triage, and user acceptance testing
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
The base salary for this position is $ 78,000 to $83,073 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
