We are recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Power Platform Engineering team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating closely with both business and technical teams, and are passionate about turning complex requirements into impactful digital solutions, then this could be the role for you!

Who Are We?

Not just another building society. Not just another job.

We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members.

Our colleagues say Skipton's a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.

Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.

You’ll be joining our Power Platform Engineering team, a closeknit and highly collaborative group made up of 7 developers, 2 solution architects and a platform manager.

Together, the team is responsible for delivering digital and automation solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform estate, including Power Apps, Power Automate Cloude, Power BI and Power Automate Desktop (RPA).

This is a delivery-focused environment where you’ll work closely with both technical specialists and business stakeholders, acting as the bridge between the two. You’ll play a key role in shaping requirements, supporting solution design, and ensuring that what we deliver truly meets business needs.

What’s In It For You?

Skipton values work/life balance and we are proud to support hybrid and flexible working, where possible. We have a newly refurbished head office which offers a vibrant and collaborative working space.

We have a range of other benefits available to you including;

  • Annual discretionary bonus scheme

  • 25 days standard annual leave + bank holidays + rising 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days

  • Holiday trading scheme allowing the ability to buy and sell additional annual leave days

  • Matching employer pension contribution (up to 10% per annum)

  • Colleague mortgage (conditions apply)

  • Salary sacrifice scheme for hybrid & electric car

  • A commitment to training and development

  • Private medical insurance for all our colleagues

  • 3 paid volunteering days per annum

  • Diverse and inclusive colleague networks available for you to join including our Carers and Pride Alliance groups

  • We care about your health and wellbeing – we provide a range of benefits that support this including cycle to work initiative and discounted gym membership

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering digital and automation solutions, working closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand processes, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement

  • Leading workshops to capture requirements and define clear As-Is and To-Be processes

  • Translating business needs into high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps

  • Collaborating closely with developers and solution architects to refine requirements and support Agile delivery

  • Acting as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring solutions are well understood and deliver real value

  • Supporting solution design discussions across our Microsoft Power Platform estate, including Power Apps, Power Automate Cloud, Power BI and Power Automate Desktop (RPA)

  • Coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation and go-live activities

  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying further opportunities for automation and optimisation

What Do We Need From You?

We’re looking for a collaborative and delivery‑focused Business Analyst who is confident working in an Agile environment and engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a technology or digital delivery environment

  • Strong experience in gathering and shaping requirements, including facilitating workshops and mapping business processes

  • The ability to translate business needs into clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Experience working within Agile teams, including backlog management and supporting sprint delivery

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across business and technical teams

  • An understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform estate (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and RPA)

  • The ability to work across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation and continuous improvement

We work in a hybrid way, with colleagues typically spending three days a week in our Skipton office for collaboration, and the remaining time working from home.
