Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst, Direct Investing, is responsible for leading the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements for initiatives that directly impact TD’s Direct Investing Easy Trade platform and related applications. 

This role acts as a subject matter expert within Direct Investing space focused on the Next Gen client, providing support and implementing solutions that align with business strategy, customer experience goals, and TD’s risk appetite. 

As a core member of Journey's team, the Senior Business Analyst bridges stakeholders across product, technology, operations, risk, and change management. The successful candidate will leverage agile practices while remaining adaptable to different delivery methodologies, providing leadership throughout the full initiative lifecycle from discovery and design through implementation and post-launch support. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management of business requirements using a variety of techniques to gain stakeholder alignment and consensus

  • Navigate and manage multiple Business stakeholders throughout completion of project 

  • Lead Business stakeholder workshops to understand current state and determine target state 

  • Own and maintain end-to-end traceability of business requirements throughout the initiative lifecycle, all the way to sign-off 

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Direct Investing initiatives, leveraging deep domain, product, and systems knowledge to drive business value

  • Analyze and document current-state business processes and support stakeholders in designing future-state solutions

  • May develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level 

  • Provide recommendations and direction grounded in end-to-end customer and employee experience considerations

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory requirements, internal controls, delivery frameworks, and TD standards

  • Stay current on emerging industry trends, tools, and business analysis best practices

  • Partner with Change Management teams to identify stakeholder impacts and support adoption, operational readiness, and transition planning

  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, and outcomes

  • Lead cross-functional discussions, resolve conflicts, and manage stakeholder concerns with a focus on timely and effective resolution

  • Promote innovation by identifying opportunities for process, product, and delivery improvements 

  • Apply strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess business problems, solution options, and impacts in alignment with TD’s risk appetite

  • Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer within the team and broader business 

Job Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate degree in business, technology, finance, or related discipline 

  • 3-5 years of relevant business and/or analyst experience 

  • Experience in Wealth Management and/or Direct Investing platforms is a strong asset 

  • Demonstrated experience working in agile delivery environments, and adaptable to other delivery methodologies 

  • The role is working onsite 4 days per week
