Job SummaryA Senior Business Advisor (BA) at MACU is expected to have a high level of business acumen. A BA should be considered an industry expert regarding the banking needs of small to medium sized businesses and act as an advisor accordingly. A BA will be expected to grow revenue through various methods while managing a specific allocated budget for their business development needs. This position will be under the Business Services department and report to a Business Services Sales Manager.

Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a Senior Business Advisor who brings both relationship depth and strategic expertise to our business banking team.

This is not a transactional role—you’ll operate as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, helping businesses grow through tailored banking and treasury management solutions.

  • Own and lead the full sales lifecycle, including complex and high-value opportunities
  • Manage and grow a large, diverse portfolio of business relationships
  • Serve as a senior advisor on business banking and treasury management strategies
  • Identify and execute on relationship expansion opportunities across existing clients
  • Navigate complex client needs and customized solutions with a high level of autonomy
  • Conduct strategic business reviews and deliver insights that strengthen partnerships
  • Partner cross-functionally to influence outcomes and enhance member experience
  • Represent and model MACU’s values and relationship-first culture

  • Strategic, self-directed mindset with the ability to prioritize and execute

Skills Required

  • 3+ years of professional experience in business-to-business relationship management
  • Banking acumen and treasury management knowledge
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field
  • 5+ years combined experience in sales or relationship management (alternative to degree)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with fin-tech software
  • Ability to demo products and services virtually and in person
  • Proficiency with video calling software (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Data analytics and data validation skills; proficiency in business data analysis (Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and perform basic physical office tasks
