Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Salesforce

Our client, a growing financial institution, is seeking a Salesforce professional to serve as the strategic business and platform lead for their Salesforce environment. Salesforce is a growing and evolving platform within the organization, creating a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building solutions, improving business processes, and helping shape the future direction of a critical technology platform.

This is more than a traditional Salesforce Administrator role. The team is looking for someone who can partner with business leaders, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend practical solutions that create measurable value. The ideal candidate combines strong Salesforce expertise with business analysis skills and a genuine curiosity to learn how the organization operates.

In this role, you will work across multiple business units to improve processes related to customer relationships, referrals, service, onboarding, sales activity, and operational visibility. You'll be responsible for gathering requirements, configuring Salesforce, building reports and dashboards, supporting users, improving data quality, coordinating enhancements, and helping shape the long-term strategy and vision for the platform.

Banking experience is helpful, but just as important is the ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and recommend solutions that balance business needs with platform best practices. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and helping an organization get the most from Salesforce, we'd love to talk with you.

Job Summary: The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Salesforce serves as the strategic business and platform lead for the organization's Salesforce ecosystem. This role partners with business units, IT, vendors, and Salesforce operations teams to analyze business needs, optimize processes, and design scalable Salesforce solutions that support organizational goals.

The Senior BSA acts as a trusted advisor rather than an order taker, leveraging Salesforce expertise, banking knowledge, and business analysis skills to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend best-practice solutions. This position is responsible for requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, platform governance, and Salesforce configuration while ensuring the platform delivers maximum value to the organization.

  • Fit-Gap Analysis & Strategic Advisory: Evaluate business requirements against Salesforce capabilities and recommend optimal solutions. Challenge incomplete, inefficient, or incorrect requests and provide alternative approaches that better support business objectives
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the organization's internal Salesforce expert, providing guidance on platform capabilities, solution design, governance, best practices, and Financial Services Cloud functionality
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with business units, IT, vendors, and Salesforce support partners to ensure successful delivery of enhancements, issue resolution, and strategic initiatives
  • Release & Change Management: Coordinate platform enhancements, testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), release planning, and deployment activities to ensure successful implementation of new functionality
  • Training & Documentation: Develop and maintain business requirements, process documentation, user guides, and training materials that support adoption and effective platform utilization
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current on Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes, data quality, automation, and platform utilization
  • Advanced Platform Support: Serve as the escalation point for complex Salesforce issues, troubleshooting and resolving advanced administrative requests, system defects, and technical bottlenecks. Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions that minimize business disruption and improve platform performance
  • Data Governance & Security: Support data governance, security, and data quality initiatives by ensuring Salesforce solutions align with established controls, policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices
