JOB DESCRIPTION 

Working with the brand principles, the Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for growing the Spirits & Mixers Portfolio.  They will be responsible for building the brand strategy for the Irish and Northern Irish markets, building brand equity, and delivering volume targets within brand budgets.  If you are interested in working on an exciting portfolio of brands, this is the role for you!  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage relationships and liaising with global brand principles and implement the global brand strategy in a locally relevant way in the Irish and Northern Irish markets. Be the brand guardian for the Spirits & Mixers portfolio, making sure all designs, principles and activations are a true brand fit and targeting the right audiences.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate brand and trade activation and visibility activities, working closely with the Marketing Manager and Commercial teams.  Influence and educate the Sales team on an ongoing basis and develop compelling sales decks with insights and USP’s.
  • Manage the brand budget and delivery of all activity within the agreed budget, while achieving volume targets.
  • Track all aspects of the brand’s performance (distribution, rate of sale, sales Vs budget, spend Vs budget, SKU performance & opportunities).  Be responsible for the monthly and quarterly reports on performance, track brand launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all strategies and plans are aligned with brand plans and are driving consumer & trade engagement in the most relevant and meaningful way.
  • Effectively manage PR, event management and media agencies through clear briefings, feedback, reviews and updates.  Track performance and brand results for all the projects and brand campaigns, using insights to inform future planning.
  • Coach, guide and support direct reports: 1x Assistant Brand Manager, 1 x Brand Activation Manager, ensuring all strategies and plans are aligned with brand plans and are driving consumer & trade engagement in the most relevant and meaningful way.
  • Identify future growth opportunities and key trends in the Spirits category.  Support strategic projects to ensure future success for the portfolio.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities appropriate for the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • An understanding of the FMCG Industry and/or Alcohol Industry desirable.
  • 3-5 years brand management/consumer marketing/trade marketing related experience.
  • Commercially astute with sound budget management experience.
  • Analytical, strategic & ability to problem solve.
  • A passion for building brands.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills.
  • Management experience desirable.

They are supported by national account managers who help the sales team deliver their business objectives whilst helping the major retailers deliver theirs. In Marketing we have over 20 people. We have Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Trade Marketing Managers and staff to support them and help make things happen. Our Finance area has 30 people. Not just the accountants but also our administrators, Customer Service team, Logistics team and IT support team. We are committed to supporting the development of talent within our business.
