The Role

As a Senior, Brand Creative Digital Designer-NA, you are both an outstanding in craft and a collaborative teammate with a passion for world class art direction and design. Focused on concepts, stories, and execution, you will drive creative excellence and collaboration across projects through to production and delivery — ensuring that your work delivers innovative creative solutions against the seasonal strategy and across all appropriate channels.  

You are connected to youth culture & the creative industry — this ever-expanding knowledge, network, and interest both inspire and drive your creative thinking. Your expertise is centered on creating the following: photography, motion, styling, graphic design, experiential design, retail design, and social.

You’re also not afraid of working within new areas, pushing your thinking to deliver innovative storytelling. You have experience designing creative concepts with cross-functional partners in functions like Brand Marketing. You also have experience working at scale, manage to work in agile and nimble ways — and can handle your own time management effectively to deliver on deadlines. You enjoy crafting the details all the way to delivery.

You are an experienced creative designer who is capable of leading as well as designing — both internal creative talent and external creative partners. You have an ability to both understand and participate in strategic conversations.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Digital Design

  • Lead in design and to help teams produce high-quality digital assets for various marketing campaigns, including email, social media, and web experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Nike's brand identity and visual design language.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.

Project Execution and Collaboration

  • Work closely with Creative Directors, Designers, and Project Managers to deliver high-quality digital designs that meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Marketing, and Engineering, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Digital Production

  • Develop and maintain organized design files, assets, and documentation to ensure seamless collaboration and design consistency across the team.
  • Design and produce digital assets, including graphics, animations, and interactive experiences, using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ensure all digital designs meet Nike's brand standards and are optimized for various digital channels.

Design Systems and Standards

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Nike's design systems, standards, and guidelines.
  • Apply design systems and standards to ensure consistency across all digital designs and experiences.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.

Time Management and Organization

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain an organized workflow, including design files, assets, and documentation.
  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively exceptional, and delivered on-time and within agreed budgets and timelines.

Digital and Social Media

  • Lead in design and produce digital assets for social media platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and Youtube.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team to develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns.

Hands-on Design and Direction

  • Willing to roll up sleeves and direct and do design work when needed.
  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency, and success.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role leads reports to the Design Director. Day-to-day, you will partner closely with Brand Narrative Directors/Managers, Writers, Designers, Project Managers, and Creative Producers as you orchestrate creative. This role also maintains relationships with colleagues in Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media, and Brand Voice.

Outside of Nike, you will collaborate with a range of individual creative partners and external agency partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 3+ years of agency or in-house creative team experience.
  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport*, and Culture.
  • Ability to lead in design and willingness to guide peers and jr. designers.
  • Create compelling multiple solutions when the way forward is not always clear.
  • Apply strategic thinking and be able to connect dots across multiple approaches, and outputs.
  • A driven, self-starter, positive attitude.
  • Ability to present new ideas or seasonal concepts to small and large groups, including presenting to cross-functional partners.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment with quick pivots and turnarounds.
  • Willingness to improve, succeed, and advance toward collective and individual goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a highly developed ability to cultivate relationships in an open, positive, and inclusive environment.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver on individual responsibilities.
  • Understanding of web, mobile, ux/ui design.
  • Quick creative automation export skills with attention to platform specs.
  • Innate curiosity and in-depth understanding of visual culture — past & present.
  • Proficient understanding of how people engage with content, from digital products to environments & experiences.
  • A sense of humor, positivity, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A strong portfolio of relevant work, with sharp focus on proven visual storytelling.
  • Expert in Figma, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of Celtra and Sprout is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
