Human Services Management Corporation (HSMC) provides shared business and consulting services to both non-profit and proprietary human services agencies. These services include accounting, payroll, third party billing and collections, human resources, online and live Continuing Education, marketing, facility development and quality assurance programs.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Bookkeeper reports directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Client Funds
- Maintain student/client funds accounts
- Prepare bank deposits and post all client fund cash receipts
- Post all client activity journal entries in HSMC’s accounting software
- Reconcile all client funds accounts monthly.
- Serve as liaison between HSMC and client for all fund concerns
- Process, post and reconcile weekly petty cash for the client residences
HUD
- Ensure the PRAC (Project Rental Assistance Contract) is in compliance with all requirements of the program
- Prepare and submit monthly invoice vouchers for payment, annual client recertifications, and annual budget
- Maintain accounts, including recording deposits, processing payments and reconciliation
- Receive and record donations/contributions and process check requests for use of funds
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree in Business preferred
- Minimum two years additional training in accounting or bookkeeping
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Must have a high attention to detail, be extremely organized, be able to multi-task
- HUD experience preferred
