Devsinc is looking for a Product Analyst - Accounting Lead to drive the development and optimization of our financial product suite. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting processes, and the ability to translate business needs into functional specifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and finance stakeholders, ensuring our accounting solutions meet industry standards and deliver high value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management to define product requirements, ensuring alignment with finance and accounting best practices.
- Analyze accounting data and processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and integration with existing systems.
- Support the design, testing, and deployment of new financial product features, focusing on usability and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, user stories, and process maps.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate product functionality before rollout, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Engage with clients to understand their accounting challenges and requirements, ensuring solutions are tailored to their needs.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and technological advancements to drive innovation within financial products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or product analysis within a finance or accounting technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Experience in product analysis, particularly with accounting software or SaaS solutions.
- Proficient in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with financial accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
- Experience with data visualization tools or reporting platforms is a plus.
- Certifications related to accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus yet not mandatory.
