As the Senior BMS & Quality Lead for Histology, you will be responsible for leading and managing all activities related to histology laboratory operations and quality management. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee histology laboratory operations, including specimen processing, slide preparation, and staining.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes to monitor and improve histology laboratory performance and compliance.
  • Lead and participate in audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to laboratory staff regarding histology processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor histology team members on quality management principles and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze quality indicators and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the selection, evaluation, and validation of new equipment and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in histology laboratory operations and quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of histology laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing quality assurance programs and processes.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to histology laboratory operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
