Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior BIM Specialist to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:- Develop and maintain detailed digital models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to support project accuracy, coordination, compliance, and delivery requirements.
- Provide input to task leads for the development of BIM implementation baseline schedules at the start of project activities.
- Utilize BIM software and related digital tools to create, manage, coordinate, and maintain project models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the preparation, review, and execution of BIM implementation and management plans at project and program levels.
- Perform quality reviews and model audits to verify BIM accessibility, model integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare model assurance reports and support the development of digital delivery requirements, special provisions, and procurement documentation.
- Review project models to ensure compliance with BIM standards, project requirements, and delivery objectives.
- Provide technical input to project stakeholders and support responses to BIM-related queries and requests.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), including standards, methods, procedures, and workflows.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective model integration and coordination across all project disciplines.
- Coordinate regularly with internal departments regarding BIM deliverables and project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior BIM team members and review their deliverables.
- Support the development of BIM training materials and digital delivery best practices.
- Provide advisory support to senior management, engineering teams, and production staff on BIM processes and digital delivery initiatives.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in BIM, digital engineering, design technology, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software, digital modeling workflows, and model management processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and their application to BIM modeling assignments.
- Advanced knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) systems and model production workflows.
- Strong understanding of CAD and BIM hardware, software, deployment processes, system requirements, and troubleshooting practices.
- Experience supporting BIM and CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or similar systems.
- Knowledge of Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP) and Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP).
- Experience developing and managing BIM content, including families, parametric components, libraries, catalogues, parts, and assemblies.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes related to BIM deliverables.
- Ability to monitor digital production performance, support KPI reporting, and contribute to risk management activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively.
- Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support to project teams.
- BIM-related professional certification.
- Experience on major infrastructure, transportation, rail, or multidisciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of digital delivery standards, BIM governance, and industry best practices.
