Senior Billing and Revenue Analyst

You will make an impact:  

As a Senior Billing and Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for performing the billing and revenue operations and ensure all invoices are following customer contract requirements. You will work closely with the Project Management, Operations and Finance Departments.

Your day to day: 

• Create billing and revenue recognition rules for our client services and licensing contracts
• Prepare, review, and submit monthly invoices to customers such as time and material, fixed fee, manual unit based, milestone based and percentage of completion
• Issue invoices based on contract requirements but does not handle any collection duties
• Perform contract review for revenue recognition requirements
• Conduct contract financial reconciliations including amounts invoiced to date and balance remaining to be invoiced by total contract and contract phase when required 
• Perform contract review for billing requirements
• Occasionally assist accounts receivable team with billing inquiries and assist with resolving discrepancies
• Assist with contract closeouts
• Perform reconciliation and approval of third-party invoices for contract pass through costs
• Assist in internal and external audits
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Billing and Contracting experience preferred
• Proficient advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially MS Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally with department staff, management, and very infrequently customers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Must possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
• Experience with NetSuite and OpenAir applications, preferred
• Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, preferred
