Position Description

PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity! The Sr. Billing Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting intelligent, financially sound decision making for our Revenue-generating functions. Reporting to the Manager, Billing, this person will have demonstrated strong accounting, analytical, project management skills, and the ability to think strategically.  This person will be a quick thinker and doer.  This role is a pivotal role for PAR to help our business move forward in a big way.  This person will support strategic projects of varying nature to enable revenue recognition efficiencies. This person must be an initiative-taker willing to do analytics themselves.

Pay Band

The hourly rate range for this position is $24.03 USD (US)- $26.44 commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.

What You will Do and Be Responsible For

  • Maintain the billing process as a part of a team to maintain accurate and timely recognition of revenue.
  • Be a versatile team player that can perform various tasks ranging from routine close procedures to complicated ad-hoc projects.
  • Liaise with commercial product teams and FP&A to promote results-driven decision making.
  • Create new customer accounts.
  • Reconcile difficult customer accounts, while resolving any related customer concerns.
  • Engage customers professionally via video or phone to resolve inquiries.
  • Maintain and update Customer contact information, including electronic contact to ensure automation of correspondence .
  • Support the Billing Manager with development and maintenance of KPIs.
  • Analyze systems and data for areas of opportunities and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Leverage excel for various reconciliations and analytics.
  • Support billing reporting deliverables with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support various process and system data movements.
  • Facilitate approvals and process credits where appropriate.
  • Negotiate complex customer disputes to resolution and document root cause.
  • Provide advanced subject matter expertise as it relates to billing matters.
  • Be willing to work occasional overtime as needed to support PARs strategic initiatives.

Core Qualifications

  • Experience in billing or a similar financial analyst role.
  • Experience with billing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, V-lookups, intermediate mastery
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritize tasks and manage simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
