About the role:
SharkNinja is looking for a Senior BI Engineer to transform the way that SharkNinja uses its data to make decisions. Reporting into the Global Director of BI & Analytics and becoming a domain expert, you will work with the business and IT partners globally to establish a solid foundation of data and powerful tools that will improve associate efficiency and provide executives with situational awareness. You will be part of a team of rockstar BI developers that span multiple BI platforms, and you will work with peers in Data Engineering and Data Governance to help deliver world-class analytic solutions. This role will be the front line of contact with internal customers, therefore executive presence and a customer-first approach is critical.

Requirements:

• Possess a strong business acumen
• Ability to handle many conflicting requests and concurrent programs
• Competent at preparing and delivering executive level dashboards and presentations
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or mathematics
• 4-7 years of experience with increasing responsibilities
• 3+ Years of experience delivering analytics to internal or external clients
• Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
• Strong experience in SQL required, experience with R, Python and/or Java Script preferred
• Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, best practices, and frameworks
• Proficient at leading cross functional projects and delivering outcomes on time
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds
• Strong detail orientation with proven ability to work quickly and accurately
• Confidence to challenge the way reporting & analysis has been done in the past
• Must thrive in a fluid and changing environment
• Experience mentoring associates in technical and soft skills
• Familiarity with CPG businesses, IOT products, Data architecture, API's and data science a bonus

Responsibilities

• Work with the business to identify opportunities to deliver actionable insights and/or make informed decisions
• Operate as a Sr BI Engineer building highly functional, effective data visualizations and dashboards
• Translate business requirements into functional data visualizations and dashboards from curated data models and sources
• Ensure data quality and accuracy by deeply understanding business processes, metrics, and KPIs
• Support business users on data literacy by providing training, Q&A support, and data quality evaluations
• Participate in developing department business processes and overall strategy
• Manage resource loading of your team members and identify/communicate possible resource constraints early
• Identify risks, develop mitigations and be transparent about good and bad news
