We are looking for a Financial BI Analyst with strong financial analysis expertise and hands-on Power BI skills, ideally with a background in banking, hedge funds, investment funds, or similar financial institutions. You will analyse financial data to help improve business performance, and provide insights and feedback to the growth team and management.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis: P&L, cash flow, balance sheets, financial ratios, and cohort analysis
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI solutions: data models, DAX measures, and dashboards to support financial reporting
- Talk to stakeholders (finance, operations, product) to understand their needs and turn them into analytics solutions
- Work with data engineers to ensure data coming from source systems is accurate and well-organised
- Create reports and present financial findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way
- Spot inefficiencies in financial processes and suggest improvements
- (Nice-to-have) Analyse the user journey and identify areas for product improvement in a banking context
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in financial analysis (banking, hedge funds, investment funds, or similar)
- CFA, FRM, or similar certification is a strong plus
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Excel (DAX, M language, data modelling, dashboards)
- Proficiency in SQL (at least at a basic level)
- Ability to explain complex financial data in simple terms to non-technical audiences
- Collaborative and comfortable working across different teams
- Detail-oriented and takes data quality seriously
- Proactive in identifying problems and suggesting solutions
- (Plus) Understanding of product analytics in a banking context

Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience in data analysis and statistical modeling
- Strong background in banking or financial services analytics
- Proficiency in SQL (basic level or higher)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI including ETL processes, DAX, M language, data modelling, visualizations and dashboards
- Ability to explain complex data simply to non-technical audiences
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong data quality focus
- Microsoft certifications PL-300 / DP-600
- Exposure to Tabular Editor and DAX Studio
- Experience with core banking systems or accounting/ERP platforms
- Experience implementing CI/CD for Power BI assets
