The Role: Sr. Benefits Manager
As the Sr. Benefits Manager at Switch, you will oversee the administration, delivery, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs across the company. This role supports employees and leaders by ensuring benefit programs are accurate, compliant, and easy to navigate.
This is a technology-forward role focused on improving how benefits are delivered, managed, and experienced across a multi-state workforce. We are looking for someone with experience designing and managing innovative benefits programs that support employee well-being, business needs, and long-term workforce growth.
You will partner with vendors, payroll, HR, and internal stakeholders to strengthen systems, improve workflows, and support scalable operations through technology and process improvement.
The Sr. Benefits Manager is a hands-on role that combines employee support, vendor management, compliance oversight, systems administration, and operational execution.
What You’ll Do

Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs

Support medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, wellness, and other benefit offerings

Design and improve benefits programs that support employee experience and organizational goals

Evaluate market trends and recommend innovative benefit offerings and program enhancements
-
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution

Partner with vendors, brokers, payroll, and HR teams to ensure accurate benefit administration

Oversee open enrollment planning, communication, and execution

Maintain accurate benefit records, reporting, and employee documentation

Support leave of absence and accommodation processes in partnership with HR

Monitor benefits processes to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws

Review benefit data and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

Support benefits system configuration, integrations, testing, and process improvements

Assist with benefit audits, invoices, reconciliations, and reporting activities

Help develop employee communication materials that explain benefits clearly and accurately

Support ongoing evaluation of benefit programs and employee experience

Manage workers’ compensation processes, including coordination of claims administration; provide guidance and direction to managers on case handling, compliance requirements, return-to-work practices, and resolution strategies.

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, or related fields
-
3+ years of experience managing employee benefits programs
-
Multi-state benefits administration experience in a complex employee environment
-
Experience designing, implementing, or improving employee benefits programs
-
Knowledge of benefits compliance requirements including COBRA, FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, and ERISA
-
Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems
-
Experience supporting benefits technology, system workflows, or process automation initiatives
-
Experience managing vendor relationships and resolving employee benefit issues
-
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
-
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, or operational environments

CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP, or related certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
