What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR on escalated benefits issues, providing guidance, issue resolution, and communication support to ensure a positive employee experience.

  • Manage the relationship with key benefits vendors, particularly Alight, by monitoring service performance, identifying issues, and driving timely resolutions.

  • Oversee the benefits appeals process by conducting investigations, researching cases, developing recommendations, and preparing responses as needed.

  • Provide reporting, audit support, and training related to benefits administration and escalation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

  • Monitor federal and state benefits regulations, legislative changes, and market trends to support compliance and inform benefits program decisions.

  • Support benefits initiatives and special projects, contributing to process improvements and the successful implementation of department priorities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably supporting employee benefits administration, employee relations, or HR operations.

  • Experience managing benefits-related processes, including issue resolution, vendor coordination, and employee support.

  • Exposure to a unionized manufacturing environment and an understanding of the unique benefits and workforce considerations within that setting.
