Iron Mountain is seeking an ambitious and analytically strong Benefits Analyst, Financials to join our Global Benefits team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management, data analysis, reporting, and performance oversight of benefit programs across our international markets.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Benefits Data Analysis & Controls: Consolidate, validate, and analyze financial, membership, utilization, and demographic data across multiple countries. Develop repeatable processes and data-quality controls to track benefit costs, utilization, claims trends, and savings delivery.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Manage recurring financial reporting for assigned regions. Maintain forecasting models, budget trackers, and variance analyses, producing clear financial commentary explaining cost movements, risks, and assumptions.
- Pooling & Financing Support: Collect and validate key financial data required for multinational pooling and global financing arrangements. Analyze claims experience, premiums, and expenses, preparing initial performance assessments for leadership review.
- Performance Insights & Governance: Maintain global benefits dashboards, track financial/operational KPIs, and translate complex datasets into concise, decision-relevant summaries for Benefits and Finance leadership.
- Stakeholder & Process Management: Serve as the primary analytical contact for assigned regional stakeholders. Coordinate reporting cycles across HR, Finance, and broker teams while working to simplify and automate recurring data processes.
- Project Support: Build financial models and conduct scenario analyses to support benefit renewals, budget planning, broker reviews, M&A activities, and broader strategic initiatives.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in employee benefits, benefits consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, HR analytics, insurance, or financial/data analysis. Experience handling multi-country data within an international or matrixed organization is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capabilities (complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, reconciliation, financial modeling). Hands-on experience working with large datasets and management dashboards.
- Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of Workday, HRIS platforms, financial systems, or data-visualization tools is preferred.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attributes: Proactive, curious, and comfortable working independently; strong attention to financial accuracy and the confidence to constructively challenge data assumptions.
