At the centre is Ellie, an AI colleague that connects to a firm's data, reasons across documents and databases, and produces grounded, fully-cited work: analysis, models, reports and memos, delivered the way a trusted member of the team would.
What sets us apart is the intelligence layer. Ellie has a genuine, semantic understanding of how a commercial real estate business actually runs, so she navigates a firm's data with real domain fluency, not generic AI guesswork. She knows what a rent roll is.
We work with leading commercial real estate institutions, REITs, investment banks, net lease and diversified CRE firms, and we're enterprise-ready by design: SOC 2 Type II, GDPR/CCPA, role-based access from the ground up, and customer data that is never used to train models.
Now we're building our presence in APAC. This is the founding business development hire for the region, and the chance to own it.
The roleThis is a senior, fully autonomous business development role, dedicated 100% to the APAC market and based in Singapore. You'll own top-of-funnel pipeline across the region — researching accounts, running multi-channel outreach, qualifying opportunities, and setting up our account executives and leadership for strong sales conversations.
For the first two quarters, the split is roughly 70% Singapore and 30% rest of APAC (Japan, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong). You'll be the engine for regional pipeline on the ground, working closely with sales leadership, marketing and the founding team.
This is not a junior SDR seat. We're looking for someone who arrives with the toolkit, runs their own desk without hand-holding, and is hungry to grow into a full 360 sales cycle / Account Executive role as they prove themselves.
What you'll doBuild and own a pipeline of qualified opportunities across APAC, with a primary focus on Singapore and selected expansion markets.
Run intelligent, multi-channel outreach: email, LinkedIn and conference / event follow-up, with cold calling deployed where there's a clear opening, not as a blanket tactic.
Research and prioritise target accounts among commercial real estate institutions (REITs, investment banks, net lease and diversified CRE firms, asset managers).
Qualify rigorously using MEDDIC, applying our ideal-customer filters (including GP vs. LP fit) to focus effort where we win.
Run discovery that shows you genuinely understand a prospect's world, and hand off well-qualified opportunities to account executives.
Keep a clean, disciplined pipeline in HubSpot, and report on activity, conversion and pipeline contribution.
Feed market intelligence back to sales, marketing and product. You're the eyes and ears of 5D in the region.
Primary KPI: contribute $3–5M in qualified pipeline by end of year, weighted to Singapore in the first half.
3+ years minimum in a B2B SaaS business development / sales development role; 5–7 years preferred.
A proven self-starter: autonomous outreach, strong grasp of sales fundamentals, and a track record of generating pipeline without being managed step-by-step.
Extroverted and energised by outbound; resilient and unfazed by non-responses; a strategic thinker who plans a territory rather than spraying activity.
Comfortable selling a technical / AI product to sophisticated enterprise buyers, and quick to learn a new domain.
Familiar with structured qualification (MEDDIC or similar) and CRM discipline (HubSpot a plus).
A clear, confident communicator, written and verbal.
[Nice to have / confirm] Commercial real estate, proptech or financial-services sales background; APAC market experience and relevant language skills for expansion markets.
Own a region. Founding APAC business development hire, real ownership, and a clear, performance-based path to a full-cycle Account Executive role.
Sell something genuinely different. A differentiated product, backed by a strong customer base and an enterprise-grade platform, to leading commercial real estate institutions.

Skills Required
- 3+ years minimum in B2B SaaS business development / sales development
