Senior Battery Execution Engineer
Description
Plan, execute, commission, debug, launch Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS) assembly areas for Orion Assembly Plant and other vehicle assembly plants to produce RESS for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Battery Electric Truck (BET). Plan, design, execute, debug, commission, and launch vehicle assembly plant battery assembly, Body in White (BIW), and General Assembly (GA) equipment including assembly fixtures, cell processing units, Supertrak conveyor systems, stacking dials, 7-axis robots, compression presses, welding fixtures, laser welding and trimming equipment, dispense systems, handoff fixtures, checking fixtures, holding fixtures, end of line testers, FANUC robots, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), lift assists end effectors, internal dunnage, push carts, and point of use racks, from process definition, fixture design, equipment installation through Start of Regular Production (SORP) at Orion Assembly Plant in Lake Orion, MI. Follow Statement of Requirements (SORs), Bill of Material (BOMs), Bill of Equipment (BOEs), Bill of Process (BOPs), and Bill of Operation (BOOs), and ensure quality, ergonomics, and safety requirements are met.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related. Sixty months' experience as Engineer, Project Manager, or related. Must have experience with project management including delivery of designs, performing or managing team in Body in White (BIW) or General Assembly (GA) process definition and fixture design.
