Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role:

Mytra’s Software team is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to develop and scale the core services that power our system. These services translate a user's high-level intentions into precise system commands, track the system state via async messaging events, and update user requests accordingly and efficiently. This involves systems that ensure reliable, scalable, and secure operations within our flexible industrial automation system. In this role you will work cross-functionally with software and firmware engineers to develop critical command and control functionality. Our team is focused on the development of functional, reliable, and performant software. You’ll contribute to the long term success of Mytra’s core software stack by leading the development storage planning and system optimization functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of software that powers our system
• Develop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
• Work closely with the firmware team to ensure seamless service to bot integration
• Deliver high-quality code in a variety of hardware and cloud environments
• Design, implement, test, and document software

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with common backend languages, preferably Python
• Experience developing highly available, high reliability systems
• Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and HIL testing
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Sense of ownership and a collaborative approach to developing software within a team
• Iterative approach to software development
• Desire to continue learning and growing
• Git experience

Pay Notice:

• Compensation for this position will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience level and location. The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change.
