We work on Fusion 360, a cutting-edge CAD/CAM/CAE product. The Fusion CI/CD/Test System is a critical engineering infrastructure and pipeline for building, developing, testing, and delivering Fusion 360, leveraging modern cloud computing technology.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our newly established service test automation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality and productivity improvements and foster a strong culture of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define system architecture and requirements

Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable backend services

Develop and maintain backend services, ensuring they are robust and efficient

Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in backend development

Ensure the quality of the backend codebase through code reviews, automated testing, and quality control measures
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
-
5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years in backend system development
-
Strong proficiency in modern backend frameworks, such as Java and Spring
-
Proficiency in at least one relational database system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and an understanding of database architecture, design principles, and normalization
-
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions)

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deploying and managing applications on them

Excellent programming skills, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills

Highly motivated, self-directed, and a strong team player, adaptable to the changing needs of the organization
Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing test automation frameworks

Experience with API testing, performance testing, and scripting/programming languages commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Ruby)

Knowledge of mocking and stubbing techniques and tools

Experience with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Varnish, Memcached) to improve scalability and efficiency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
