GENERAL FUNCTION:
As a member of an agile squad, responsible for implementing new features and enabling
capabilities using modern software engineering tools and practices. Adheres to practices and
standards, set by communities of practice, and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement new features while maintaining overall quality of software
Contribute to a culture of learning by documenting and sharing technical knowledge as a
developer on an agile squad
Participate in developer communities of practice by following best practices, participating in
code reviews, and sharing knowledge
Remain current on relevant technology trends
- Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs used by iOS/Android mobile apps
- Build and maintain microservices in a cloud-native environment
- Integrate backend services with mobile-specific capabilities (authentication, push notifications, analytics pipelines, etc.)
- Perform code reviews, debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and observability across backend services
- Collaborate with mobile, web, DevOps, and product teams
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
- Participate in full SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, and production support
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 0-3 years of software development experience
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture
Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems
Proficiency with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, etc.)
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (or similar tools)
Experience using Dynatrace and/or Splunk for monitoring and logging
Understanding of backend support for mobile apps (authentication, performance, scalability)
Proven experience designing backend systems that support mobile applications
Strong knowledge of Java, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
Hands-on AWS experience
Solid understanding of distributed systems, message queues, and API security
