Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Backend development, Blockchain knowledge and DevOps & Deployment. Ideally, this candidate has worked in DeFi products and liquidity management protocols, Web3 fund raising and AI platforms. This role is purely an IC role focused on design, development, test and deployment of product development tasks while collaborating with the Technical Architect and Blockchain engineers. You will work closely with engineering teams, project managers, designers, and engineering leadership to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Maintenance: Lead the development and maintenance of backend services using Node.js (pref Nest.js), TypeScript, and JavaScript. This includes writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.

API Design and Management: Design and manage RESTful APIs (or utilize RPCs) and integrate third-party APIs (or RPCs) to support business processes and data exchange. 

Database Management: Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL), including design, development, and optimization, ensuring data integrity and security.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize application performance, focusing on server-side logic, database interactions, blockchain interactions, and integration with front-end components.

Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Implement unit and integration tests to maintain high-quality code.

Collaboration with Frontend Developers: Collaborate closely with the frontend developers in the team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug applications, providing effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

DevOps and Deployment: Work with DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and cloud services (like AWS).

State Management: Implement and manage state control using appropriate tools and frameworks, ensuring smooth data flow and responsive user interfaces.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Work with CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment processes.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the systems developed and ensure it's kept up to date.

Required Qualifications:

- 4+ Years of experience working as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer.

- Experience with Typescript / Javascript for back-end REST APIs (RPCs), using frameworks like Express or NestJS, NoSQL and SQL databases, and REST API best practices.

- Web3: Prior experience working in the Web3 industry and interest in Web3 ecosystem, wallets & transactions, IDOs & ICOs, DeFi (staking, farming, liquidity pools), omnichain.

- Knowledge of liquidity pools, yield farming, market dynamics, and mathematical models involved in bonding curves.

- Creating training engine for AI Models, leveraging existing NLP models for commercial clients.

- Demonstrated clear indicators of strong EQ and compassionate camaraderie when working with teams.

Team Structure:

You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary product development team, alongside front-end/back-end/test engineers, UI/UX designers, the product owner, and Web3 subject matter experts.

100% remote

Timezone: flexible, but working hours must be in the range between 9 AM and 10 PM (UTC time).
