What you'll do:
- You will design, build, and scale backend services in Go and Typescript to support Emma’s global fulfillment and logistics operations, helping us become the world’s leading sleep brand.
- You will develop and maintain robust, secure, and high-performance REST APIs that integrate with various internal systems and third-party providers.
- You will work with event-driven architectures using AWS services such as SNS, SQS, ensuring smooth communication across distributed systems.
- You will take ownership of backend components end-to-end—from development and testing to deployment and monitoring (full DevOps).
- You will ensure high code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous delivery pipelines.
- You will be part of an agile, empowered team, actively sharing knowledge, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- You will contribute to recruiting efforts to help us grow our high-performing tech team.
Who we're looking for:
- You have a strong track record of designing and delivering scalable and performant backend systems in a cloud environment, preferably with Go (Golang) & Typescript.
- You are experienced in building event-driven architectures using AWS SNS/SQS, and are familiar with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
- You have solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and systems integration patterns.
- You bring deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software design patterns.
- You have several years of proven experience in backend software development, ideally in a fast-paced E-commerce or logistics-focused environment.
- You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and take pride in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- You are highly self-organized, with a strong sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- You are a team player with strong communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.
- Experience working with monitoring tools and implementing observability best practices is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
