Ubiminds is assisting a company which is building an exciting new product suite for Public Safety. 

Challenge

As a Software Engineer focused on backend development, you will play a key role on a nimble, small team building the next version of our client's services platform. You will focus on writing clean, efficient, and scalable Python code to support the delivery of our client's innovative solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness and scalability of our services, making a meaningful impact on the future of the client's offerings.

What you'll do

- Develop, test, and maintain backend code using Python and Django, ensuring high performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to define and implement new features.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a collaborative development environment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing performance and ensuring the reliability of our platform.

- Help define and evolve our domain model to expand our service offering.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, actively exploring opportunities for innovation.

In order to succeed in this position, you will need:

Mandatory skills

- +5 years of experience developing backend systems in a production environment.

- Proficiency in Python with extensive Django experience.

- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and domain modeling.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including those across different regions.

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud environments and managing cloud-based deployments.

- Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

- Knowledge of RESTful API principles and database design.
