About the role
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems, providing expertise, guidance, and solutions that align with business objectives.
What you will do
- Architect and deliver complex, maintainable backend solutions.
- Lead collaborative efforts with product owners and development teams.
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals.
- Spearhead testing procedures, working closely with QA Engineers.
- Provide architectural leadership and solutions.

- Expertise in OOP in a PHP/Symfony, Python/SQLAlchemy or Java environment.
- Experienced in traditional databases (eg. MySQL, BigQuery, MongoDB, Solr, Redis)
- Experience with event messaging systems
- In-depth understanding of computer science and software engineering concepts.
- Proven experience in unit and functional testing, TDD, and continuous delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of third-party systems integration and asynchronous jobs.
- Good spoken and written level of English.
Working pattern and location
- 40 hours per week, permanent contract
- Monday – Friday
- Hybrid role
