Senior Backend Engineer (Integrations)

About the role

As our customer base grows, so do the volume and complexity of the systems we need to connect to. This role exists to expand our integration capacity. You will design and build new customer integrations and own the health of those already running in production.

Your focus will be on developing integration services that connect our core platform with enterprise tools across CRM, Customer Service, Field Service, Asset Management, Facilities Management, and related areas.

You will work across the full integration lifecycle: shaping the technical approach with customer-side engineers, implementing it with our Product and Software teams, and keeping it reliable once it's live.
What you'll do

• Contribute to the technical architecture of each integration, working directly with internal teams and customer technical stakeholders

• Design and implement integrated solutions for specific customer use cases alongside Product and Software

• Build reusable connectors and packages for third party systems, as web services on AWS or as custom code on partner ecosystems such as Salesforce

• Monitor, maintain and improve existing integrations in production, including diagnosing and resolving failures

• Raise the team's technical bar through code review, testing standards and mentoring

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years of experience with 2+ years building production systems in Python experience

• Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs, and owning at least one third party integration end to end

• Strong automated testing practice, unit and integration tests as a default rather than an afterthought

• Working experience with AWS, including compute, message queues such as SQS, and managed databases

• Experience designing for availability, reliability and performance in distributed systems

• Ability to work directly with external technical stakeholders and turn ambiguous requirements into a workable design

Nice to have

• Salesforce or other partner ecosystem development

• Multi tenant connector frameworks

• Experience on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

• Prior experience in a scaling B2B SaaS environment
