Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on integrations, capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems, primarily using Node.js, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
This is not a low-code configuration role. It requires deep understanding of backend engineering, protocols, concurrency, and security.

What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js
- Develop and maintain robust, secure APIs
- Work on integrations between SaaS platforms, ERPs, and internal systems
- Implement event-driven flows (webhooks, retries, idempotency)
- Contribute to authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, API keys)
- Identify and solve performance, concurrency, and scalability challenges
- Improve observability, logging, and error handling in production
- Participate in technical decisions and architecture discussions
Requirements
- 4+ years developing backend systems in production, with experience in integrations and distributed architectures.
- Strong experience with Node.js in production environments
- Experience building and working with APIs
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT or similar)
- Experience integrating with external systems or third-party services
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals (performance, scalability, reliability)
- Advanced English (you’ll work with U.S. clients)
- Experience with event-driven architectures or webhooks
- Experience with iPaaS tools (Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi, etc.)
- Experience integrating with ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Business Central)
- Experience with high-concurrency systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices

Skills Required
- 4+ years developing backend systems in production, with experience in integrations and distributed architectures.
- Advanced Node.js (event loop, async I/O, blocking vs. non-blocking).
- Strong understanding of HTTP at the protocol level.
- Hands-on experience with OAuth2 (authorization code / client credentials).
- Hands-on experience with JWT (token format & validation).
- Hands-on experience with Webhooks (idempotency, retries, deduplication).
- Experience resolving real incidents and production issues.
- Advanced English (communication with US clients).
- Experience with iPaaS (Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi, etc.).
- ERP integrations (NetSuite, SAP, Business Central).
- Knowledge of CI/CD.
- Experience in high-concurrency environments.
